Not up to speed with the beauty world? Then you’re likely thinking, what on earth are henna brows?
For my beauty veterans new to the treatment, you might be wondering whether to henna or tint?
Well, my beauty lovers, I’m catering this blog to you both.
What is henna?
Henna is a natural dye product that’s derived from the plant Lawsonia inermis aka the Henna tree. Henna originated in Egypt and has been used for thousands of years to dye fabrics, hair and in body art, including temporary tattoos.
How it works?
The henna dye stains the skin beneath the eyebrow hairs, which helps to create the illusion of depth and fullness in your brow. This is particularly helpful for those with fair or sparse brow hair.
How long does it last?
Henna stains the skin for 1-2 weeks, and stains eyebrow hair for 4-6 weeks. A henna brow treatment requires a 40-minute appointment—which at Allure Lash and Beauty Bar includes an eyebrow wax and brow design consult.
For comparison, a regular eyebrow tint with brow design is 20-minutes. However, this treatment only stains the skin for a few days and eyebrow hair for 1-2 weeks.
Henna or tint?
We secretly vote henna because, you can say, ‘I woke up like this!’ Apart from the convenience of not having to pencil in your eyebrows each day, henna lasts longer than a regular brow tint. And, henna is rapidly converting a lot of our regular tinting clients.
If the consultation time feels like an eternity in your mind—beauty-task! Get your lashes tinted or lash extensions applied; or a facial waxing treatment at the same time.
So, what do you say, ready to wake up with your brows on point every day?
